Madrid, 4th October 2005
Winning the war against cancer is one of the greatest challenges for the 21st century. Although important goals have been reached regarding diagnosis, treatment and research, there is still a long way to go.
That was the reason that encourage us to organizating the forum-debate Are we winning the war against cancer?. We proposed an analysis made from a multisectorial approach, which included clinicians, patients, researchers, pharmaceutical industry and mass media.
The debate allowed an interactive exchange, so that a number of recommendations and conclusions were agreed upon, which are the basis of the
“Manifesto to promote the fight against cancer in Spain”.
We ask you to:
- Read the Manifesto
- Sign it by sending an email to fundacion.ayudas@aecc.es including your name, surname and passport number.
This document will be presented to the Spanish public authorities and society, pretending to be the framework for future actions in the years to come.
